Gee I didn't have any problem with my glass when I installed mine. Doesn't leak either. It's the same contour as the formed gasket. You're just paying for the two ends being glued together. What's the difference? Us engineers make things easier I guess. I've restored 3 cars so far, two...
Andy Burnbaum had them. It's the same gasket for quite a few years. You're not going to get a gasket in an oval. It comes in a roll. You just tell them how many feet you need. The seam goes on top. It will require sealant on installation.
You guys give up to easy.

I have a set of NOS door edge guards and a bunch of really nice wheel opening moldings for that. The pic above is a Polara with a Monaco rear bumper. That was the first C with a complete computer driven Magnum and 518 ever done. It's still around under new ownership
Harbor freight has a decent engine lift adjuster
As said, go with the engine and trans assembled. It's easier to roll the car into it. I actually used to put a come along to the lift and roll them together. One man CBarge knows my work. I don't know part numbers and specs but I know how to...
Yes and first gen pickups if they are the flat ones. The replacement kits are a dime a dozed,
If you have a set of knuckle rubbers, you'll have to make them from a chunk of runner. A dremmel and a drill is needed. Time consuming but a positive solution. Been there
