In stalled a new alternator but it doesn't seem to be charging. Not sure how to replace the CD. Would I have to change out the distributor or can i just. put on a regulator coil the car doesn't have a voltage regulator I assume it is built into the alternator.

I just changed the thermostat on my 383 300. It was a pain since I had to move the a/c compressor to get at the nut on one side and the other side was covered partily by the housing. Any way should I burb the system from air since it is still running hot. I also changed the radiator cap.

Got the new switch installed. Everything seems to be working. Turn signals brake lights emergency flashers. Thanks to all for help and suggestions.

Is there a reason to have the wires go thru the column jacket? I am having problems getting new wires through the column even with thin wire attached.

The wires on new switch have a fish hook connector the old switch have square looking see pic above I was wondering if I could put new switch in old white connector from old switch, I see what you are referring to but again the wire end are different.

the connections between the old switch and new switch look different will new switch work I am worried about the connection to wires in dash
