I have an aftermarket A/C unit on my 66 New Yorker with the stock 22" radiator with no shroud or clutch fan I want to upgrade to a 26" rad with a shroud My question is should I keep the stock 7 blade non clutch fan or should I use a 7 blade clutch fan

You will get a little more power and a little better fuel mileage with a clutch fan. This is because the clutch fan will disengage until the temperature of the air going thru the radiator goes up enough to lock the thermostatic clutch. You should do some measuring to be sure the 26" radiator will fit your core support.

clutch fan for sure. ac cars came with 26 inch radiators so shouldn't be a problem

Cars with 26” radiators used a different core support with a larger opening. Why not just have a new 3 row, narrow fin 22” radiator core put in your radiator and add a shroud and clutch fan.
