I am looking for a 1965 or 1966 Radiator Core Support 26”. I restored my 65 SF with the original 22” radiator support, with an aluminum radiator, serpentine belt A/C, electric fans and aluminum shroud. Problem: runs hot, triennial everything and down to change out radiator support, radiator, fans and shroud. I get to buy the car. Don’t know what else is left to try. So I am looking for a 26” shroud after which I will have a lot of nice fans, radiators, etc. for sale; cheap!

1965 core support will be 22", no 26" for 1965

Explains why all the junkyards with 65’s are 22” even though I have been told otherwise. I am further told that a 66, 22” will fit a 66; drop right in. True?

Have you measured the opening in your 22" support? You might find the opening wider than u think, certainly wider than 22". On my 69 (different) the hole was almost the same width as the core of the replacement 26" radiator.

Checked, it’s 22.” Thanks.

A good body shop would be able to open up the 22" opening for a 26" radiator without much trouble, and would be able to make it look factory. Probably cheaper than cutting and installing a new radiator core support. Had that done on my 67 Coronet when I switched from small block to big block.

Pics of 26" radiator support.

I am on hold. Attended a car show Saturday and have someone that will look at it and tell me how alternatives or how much to change out radiator and fans. Regarding the pictures. is the top have bends/dents in it or is that just reflection/illusions?
All the 1s I've seen or had looked like that.

I got my 67 26" rad core support from a Dry Dock member years ago.
It was free but paid shipping from Arizona.
It is not heavy, but oversized for shipping.
It may look twisted but does have some curves to it.
Hope this helps.

Any 26" yoke from a '66 ChryCo C body product will work. I have spares I can part with.
