Just a note:
As I recall, the AM/CB was used in other Chrysler products in 1978. The C-bodies used an AM/FM/CB.

1978-79 is the year range on this

4048412 changes to 4048261

4048076 is on the part

I found this in my old accessory part books and was able to use a superseded part book from the early 1980s to figure this out as
Chrysler has deleted all this info as it is so old. Ahh paper part books from the old days that I've kept for over 35 years.

Weird thing is the box has a label that states it is a FM MX radio which is certainly not

Are you sure about this? I have s fee of these and never came across this info. Not saying it's incorrect, just trying to verify. I have an AM/CB radio, for a 74 I think, another later (78?) AM/FM/CB (canadian p/n) , both black face units and a silver AM/FM/CB that's late 70's. I can get the p/n's if needed. Thes have apparently gone up in price the last few years.
