Prime minister tries to spin his way out of the SNC-Lavalin cover up

I don't think western separation is the answer, maybe just lose Quebec. Sorry to our Quebec brothers, but you guys seem to be the home base for most of our crooked politicians.
:soapbox:

Just to play devil's advocate, the previous administration as did all the ones before, also turned a blind eye to SNC's BS for the same reasons, power and money.

They're ALL bastards.

In the U.S. many are still demanding to see Trumps tax returns. And the above proves an interesting take on the saying
" people want to see the tax returns of a billionaire that turned into a politician, but a smart person should want to see the tax returns of a politician that became a millionaire"

Very true, however in Canada’s case it’s not just the current party. This PM believes we should hand over elements of our sovereignty to the UN and conform to their immigration policies. He is implementing a national carbon tax that he is convinced will change the world, and wants to phase out oil and gas production by 2030 in favor of wind and solar. In our climate houses need heat and in our vast geography we need to travel great distances. This guy grew up in a political family who’s pockets are lined by the system. He lives in a dream world and is an embarrassment to Canada.
My 2-cents on this....(ok, maybe a nickel)
1. Carbon tax = good
2. Eliminating oil/gas by 2030 = ridiculous
3. Wind/Solar = good, but won't replace gas/oil in our lifetimes (we need better battery technology)
4. Nuclear energy? = good IF...we can figure out a way to get rid of the waste & not contaminate HUGE sections of earth
5. Water energy? = good IF we can figure out a way not to kill fish/wildlife (much better than we do now)
6. Solar Mining = good, but I don't think this will happen in our lifetimes
7. Politicians/Big Business Owners = bad (in 99% of the cases)

Why is a carbon tax good?

Here one politician from a conservative corner of Quebec that I like.

There is absolutely nothing “Good” about a “Carbon Tax” that increases the price of everything and does nothing to curtail CO2 emissions. It is a wealth redistribution scheme dreamed up by globalists. Large emmitters are exempt so the comman man suffers. But would love to see the US try and implement that on the population. Up here the sheeple thought it would be neutral except for all the business fleeing the country to other jurisdictions not saddled with this ridiculous social engineering experiment. Wind/solar will never replace conventional power generation in Canada so bring on the nukes I say!

Other than terminolougy, I don't see much different in the US. I am however enjoying the fall of your pious Trudeau.
