The car has been on craigs list for years at around 18k at a Mass dealership.. I took a look at it about 2 years ago. It is an interesting car, but has a lot of hidden issues. Quarters are bubbling in spots and the car doesnt look as good in person as it does in the pictures. I am also suspecting some hidden problems at the bottom of the doors and fenders. If the price was closer to 12K. I would have seriously consideted it knowing what it needs.

With a current high bid of $555, it does not seem to be generating a lot of interest. What it is worth depends a lot on how much Bondo is on it, paint is failing and carpets show water damage. A lot of cars with Bondo on the rockers and quarters also have a lot of frame rust so pricing is tough without a detailed inspection.
$10k-$12k might be a fair price if the frame is solid. A nice rust free one can probably be had for about $17.5k and that makes this car pretty marginal even at $10k given how costly paint, rust repair and body work are.

I would love to have a convertible but this car has some of the same rust issues mine does. I don’t mind dealing with it, but my guess is they have this car way overpriced. I paid $4k for mine (which was likely too much) and it has fender/quarter panel issues. If this one was priced at $18k the seller needs to put the bong down and get a clear head.

It's this car again, (and again and again, never ending)
