Rear wheel lock up resulting in a spin was a issue with the 427 Cobra's, but not caused by breaking. A sudden downshift to 2nd and release of the clutch was the condition. Ask me how I know. Control arm bushings and altered geometry would correct it. But it was mostly the driver that compensated for it.
Lose of control in a Cobra was usually due to a low performance driver in a high performance car.
