Can you share what engine it had, the VIN, and stuff like that? I remember seeing a similar looking one for sale a while back..
Also, do you know if it ever got repainted? Looks like the owner on Flickr was hinting at that with pictures of the car being photoshopped red and other colors..

Engine is 383. No other info. A few gold 1971 Polara 2drs have indeed sold over the last few years, but AFAIK all were Polara Custom models.
To the best of my knowledge, the car in question had not been repainted as of 2018, and I have no reason to believe it has been since.

@Trailer Park -- PM sent. Apparently this Polara went through a hail storm last year, and the owner (still the same person) posted this January YouTube video of the roof's vinyl getting shredded.
This is most unfortunate, as the top was apparently still in very good shape till that day. In contrast, I think that I see a number of crack on the dash pad.

Someone who is unlucky enough to get his car in a hailstorm is not necessarily unworthy of ownership. On the one hand, the car had survived and stayed in seemingly good shape for almost 15 years, till that fateful day in 2020. I don't know many people who have been such good caretakers (most of them, I think, are on this site). Then again, most people don't keep their classics out in the snow (watch at 0:41, 1:47 and 2:16):

I've had four of my cars parked outside during the warm months, I just don't have enough garage space when I have a car out for driving duty. I don't like my cars getting hailed on, but I have found they hold up surprisingly well. I don't have any dents from hail with those four cars. I don't know about the fuselage cars, but my slabs and my Dart have thick enough metal to have survived their time in bad weather. In a perfect world all my cars would have their own garage stall, maybe someday.
Then you're not allowed to buy anymore.

Don't have kids, so that doesn't apply.
The cars can handle it, they are tough. I usually only have one out at a time, but they see weather. Am I a bad owner because they get wet? I don't want a car I can't use if it might rain or not, and I've never let inoperable wipers stop me from driving in the rain, they make RainX for that.
Rain is quite a bit different than hail or a blizzard, don't you agree?

Hail is usually brief, I'm definitely not defending keeping cars out in the winter, that's a different thing than getting wet.
Not interested in the car other than following the hobby, but more your point of having a car outside.
