WANTED 1966 Newport turn signal switch

I thought about taking a dremel to it but considering some places won't take an electrical item back, I figure if the part doesn't work AND it's been modified, they for sure won't take the part back. But, I may have to bite the bullet

WANTED 1966 Newport turn signal switch

I had 2 of those switches and the problem i had with each one is the tabs on the lever didn't fit into the 2 slots on the back of the switch like the original switch, which caused the the whole mechanism to not work properly.

    66 Newport Turn Signal Switch

Anyone have any suggestions here.............I bought a new turn signal switch for my 66 Newport from Rockauto. The signal lever doesn't fit into the slots on the back side but i'm wondering if they are made this way now or do I need to modify it to fit? I sent a switch back already hoping...

    '66 Newport turn signals

I have a '66 Newport and am having issues with my turn signals. I flip the lever on and as soon as I begin the turn, the lever "returns" just enough for the signals to stop flashing but doesn't completely cancel. Once the turn is complete and the steering wheel begins to return to center, that's...

I will have to take a look at that. I'm not sure if there are or not. That would make sense since both sides do it. Thank you for the info.

    '66 Newport Radiator

No, that's the kicker. It has NEVER overheated. I was thinking it was overfilled too but, silly me, I thought to myself a mechanic wouldn't overfill the radiator........LOL. I'll have to go look and see how much coolant is in it now...........

    '66 Newport Radiator

I've had the thermostat and housing replaced, both hoses and new antifreeze put in within the past year. The issue i'm having is, even on short drives, i'll get home and coolant will be coming out of the overflow hose.

    '66 Newport Radiator

I'm sure it could be...........I just haven't gone down that road yet. Mine is a 22 inch core with factory AC. From what i've been able to find so far, it looks like I will have to go that route.

    '66 Newport Radiator

I'm needing to change out my radiator in my 66 Newport. I've found one that is a perfect fit but the shroud on my current radiator gets bolted to the side and the one I've found online gets bolted to the back side. Anyone know where I can find one that has the side mounts? Or even a shroud...

Thank you very much!! When my parents first got the car, the leaf springs were shot so the rear sagged way low. We were lucky enough to find the pair we have in it now. Once we put them in...........what a HUGE difference it made.......as you can see.
