    Tire pressure?

What you're feeling on rough pavement may be "lack of structural rigidity". Auto testers including Consumer Reports noted this characteristic on all of the new Forward Look '57 Mopars. If you lower your tire pressure, the car will ride less harshly. I'm in the mid-20s on radials on my '60...

...orginaly did not come with C-body rear shocks. The original Imperial part number crosses over to a 72 dodge pick up truck shock and brake hose. I wrote a post about this last year. I'll try to find it after I recover from an all day in the sun car show. Ok, had a beverage. rear shock KYB KG5413

You probably did not look correctly on Rockauto. I found the KYB in 1 minute, for the 1972 Chrysler Newport. As others, I strongly recommend Booster Dewey. He did it for my '58 Plymouth, and I'm sending him my '70 as well.

    Rear shocks

I am a fellow Canuckian, I buy KYB shocks from Summit. Also check Car Quest or Napa to see if they use a Supplier named Keystone Canada. They carry KYB shocks. I know this since I was in the biz for years. You can get Monroe shocks but I find the KYB's are a better ride for the buck.

    1967 Newport progress

I pulled the old stock rear shocks out of the car this week, they were completely shot as expected. Went ahead and replaced those with the KYB shocks, part #KG5512 Gas-A-Just shocks, which fit great and installed easily(got all new hardware from the local parts store, and cleaned up the lower...

    Front Shocks

I have installed KYB gas-adjust on several 1970 C-body convertibles, and love them. Best combo of comfort and handling available IMHO. In related matters: @Four4tmag -- I know of only one FK5 Fury iii 'vert that was repainted red by a previous owner. Is your car PM27L0D143252 -- a car that...

...180 degrees). I will now drive it regularly and make some adjustments (brakes, carb, timing), and I need to adjust the rear axle a bit as the rear tire on the driver’s side rubs just a bit during rear suspension compression (po had air shocks that have been replaced with KYB gas adjust models)…

    Rear shocks

I score plenty good NOS ware off eBay, though for KYB I've done alright with their new stuff. The Gas-Adjust shocks do alright. I even ordered Monroe Load Levelizers, their coil-over shocks, and they're MADE IN THE U.S.A.! GASP! Some small shop in Tennessee made them for my '83 Dodge D150...
