    Steer Gear Replace

    Also found the rubber rag joint pretty bad....so will take the advise of others here, and try the Dorman 31002...may need 2, but they do not list the bolt spacing anywhere, including Summit. So ordered one, and if fits will get another. So far, so bad, but gettin it dun.

    On the noise, it may not be noticeable with the rag joint columns. Also a good alignment will help with the constant centering of steering wheel. Try to get as much positive caster you can.

    To finish off the suspension rebuild was replacement of the rag joint. The screws were seized so steering column removal was the only option. With the column out servicing was pretty easy as the following photos show.
