1967 Monaco 500 with what engine?

Thanks. This description makes the car sound like a genuine muscle car.

    hemi or not to hemi

...In any event, I recommend either solid or eurothane motor mounts to keep it all in place. And don't forget the U-joints, a posi or Sure Grip rear end fortification isn't a bad idea either. But at the end of the day, it is YOUR car and YOUR money, do what you want. Nice car, she's a real...

noisy rearend gears - or is it??? 3.55 8-3/4"

Sure grip should turn same direction both wheels. Open differential: opposite directions My experience: 742 sure grip seems harder to turn in reverse. My experience: worn axle shaft bearings make the most noise on turns. Going straight they are relatively quiet. Not sure what linear slappy growl...

    Rescued Just in Time!

Got a pile of documentation with this car as well including the original window sticker, sales option check list, the original 1970 Iowa title, warranty cards, etc!! Found the obituary to the original owner and turns out he was a thermonuclear engineer for the military through the '50s &'60s...

    posi lube

I had a sure grip rear installed on my car, (it's not known as a posi here in Mopar land FYI) and they did not use the additive, and it chattered on corners. Added the additive, and all was good. I would say add it just to be sure. Regarding the oil weight, I am not sure.

    1966 Windsor tag decode please

Pretty much everything. That one looks pristine (edit: OK - maybe not pristine, but dang nice!) - I'd extract it very carefully and store it safely. Be sure to check that it is the correct one for your car - matches your VIN and Fender Tag ...If not, list it as found in the Lost & Found...

440 swap or build the 383?

Here's my thoughts... It really depends on what you want... You can't beat cubic inches, but the engine in your car is already running and in the car. If you find a 440 engine, it's probably not going to matter what it came out of. Unless it's already been rebuilt, a low compression engine...

YOU'RE the one who keeps saying "kick down" linkage. :) Hell, even Chrysler doesn't know what to call it! I have to leave this thread now because I need to post up pics of all the Tri-Power E-Bods and A-12 cars at Kissimmee....

Daily driver gear ratio 8 3/4 rearend

If you don't mind opening up the transmission, you could go 3.23 sure grip and install a low gearset in the trans, like i did. With a 2.77:1 1st gear, it's like having a 3.6:1 rear ratio on take off. Still have good cruisability with 3.23s. Simple matter of changing out the front planetary and...

    What rear gear???

Your gear options also depend on which case you have. I have the same basic setup and put 3.91's in mine recently with a helical gear sure grip and running 27" diameter tires. Love it and yes I can still drive on the freeway

I would’ve loved to have the window sticker from my T&C. (However, I spent decades thinking, “I’d love to have a T&C,” so I can’t complain.) I haven’t looked for the broadcast sheet yet, but I have found small trivial things from “back in the day” that I’ve saved.

    Rear End Education please

Be careful with axle and housing width charts off the interwebs... Most aren't correct, especially when citing C body rears. But the question needs to be asked. What do you want to change? All the drum brake combinations are going to bolt up if that's what you want to change and ALL the...

    Picking a new torque converter
