Looking for some clarity on 1965 engine mounts

Maybe it's just me - but has anyone written / posted on FCBO about having a 413 in a '65 Monaco / Polara? Maybe this FB guy thought he had a poly when in fact he had a 413? Everything I'm readying says that his poly mount brackets should fit an LA 318.

    C Body Dirt Track Car?

In the early 90s I had a 65 Newport Enduro car. I was wrecked bad in the first race. Very fun though.

    New C Body Owner

Hello everyone I just joined the forum because I'm the proud new owner of a 65 Monaco 2 Door Hardtop. It needs some work but overall its a good solid car. I have a 413 and a 727 that's going into it. No pictures yet but I will post some as I go along. I've never been on one of these forums...

Canadian 1960 Forward Look cars. The differences from the US cars.

The 65 Monaco 413 4 speed is a cool car. There were quite a few C bodies with 4 speeds in Canada, because the B body was dropped for 1965. so if you wanted a big block 4 speed car, a C body it was. The B body returned in 1966. There were a number of 66-68 C bodies built with 4 speeds too though...

Canadian 1960 Forward Look cars. The differences from the US cars.

...Flathead with a Powerflite. My 65 Polara wagon has a Fury interior and uses US A-body V8 emblems. A friend of mine bought a new 65 Monaco 413 4 speed, a Canada only combination. Lots of other quirky stuff from that time. Dodge and Fargo trucks. Canadian Valiant was a Dart with Valiant...

    C Body Dirt Track Car?

My oldest son tried his hand at Enduro racing. Since his car came from his father in law (now ex) and the car had won the series the year before, it was like the car had a target on it. On the second lap, they knocked the rear out of the car. After the repairs, the next time at the track they...

    Why was there a motor-mount change from '65 to '66 ?

The 1965 Plymouth service manual is the only '65 manual I can find that shows frame dimensions. I compare the 1965 Fury diagram with 1967. Since Fury had slant-6 and V-8 options for both years, I'm comparing the V-8 diagrams only. The 1966 Chrysler and Monaco frame diagrams matches the...

    383 to 413 engine swap. 65 Monaco

Hey guys, I just found a 413 that I want to replace my 383 with in my 65 monaco. I have a couple questions. Will the 383 oil pan fit the 413? Will the distrubitor fit the 413? Also are the motor mounts going to be the same. This is my first Mopar so please excuse the rudimentary questions...

A friend of mine had a Canadian 65 Monaco 413 4spd new. A guy I knew in Saskatchewan had a 65 Monaco convertible 413 4spd new. It got totaled by the second owner. I saw another 65 Monaco 413 4spd rag on a lot in Regina 40+ years ago. Kevin

NOT MINE Not Mine. 1965 Dodge Monaco - 6,500

65 Canadian Monaco and US Monaco were same model, BUT Canadian one used a Sport Fury dash and interior. So, they're easy to identify. Also, available engines were different. US was 383, 413, 426W - all 4bbl. Could get small block V8 in Canadian (and maybe even 6). No 426W for Canadian, instead...

    383 to 413 engine swap. 65 Monaco

1965 motor mounts are one year only. What year is the 413? If it is a 1965 engine it will bolt right in. Otherwise you may have to fabricate new mounts since Schumacher's mounts are no longer available.

    383 to 413 engine swap. 65 Monaco

I'm not sure where things lie at this point. In post #27 you said the two motors have the same mounts I believe. In which case somebody has already figured out how to mount a standard block into the 65 stub frame assuming it's a 65 stub frame. If so, there is no issue use the mounts that are in...

Welcome 65 Monaco 413 to FCBO!

I'm restoring a 65 Monaco big block currently (and had a 65 big block Fury III about 20 years ago that I dearly miss); I was a B-body guy most of my youth but I'm interested in learning all I can about the C-body Mopars. Location: Max Meadows, VA

    383 to 413 engine swap. 65 Monaco

I will concur that you need to chase down the casting numbers and casting dates on your 413 block to verify what model year it really came from. As for the consumer automotive versions available, there were the 340 horse version (4bbl and single exhaust) and 360 horse versions with 4bbl and...
