    reproduction 1968 Newport grille emblem

Thanks for the feedback - the piece comes out slightly lighter on the picture (when I compare the piece itself right by my computer screen), so we are on the right track. This said, do you have a close up picture of the emblem on this car above?

NOT MINE 1965 Chrysler 300L Conv., 413/4-spd. (Mecum; No Reserve; Jan. 14)

There's been some talk on the 300 letter car club mailing list about this car. Consensus among those that saw the car is the sale price was about right, and condition isn't as good as the pictures show. When I looked at these pictures of the interior, I couldn't help but wonder about the...

Is there no source for OEM HVAC parts and rebuilding?

You mean NOS duplicates of what were there, or modern updated equivalents? If the former, where did you find NOS? Had an owner of an automotive A/C repair shop the other day. No, he does not want to mess with old cars anymore. Said vacuum-operated actuators are nearly extinct. They are now...

NOT MINE 1967 Chrysler Newport Coupe $22,500 Hebron, OH

Maybe this depended on the assembly plant, but technically didn't the slab engine bays come painted black?

I wonder if the magnums were from the factory (or at least the dealer?), and if they're 14 inch.

    Stupid Key Question

I’m not sure about earlier cars but the first pic style was what Mopar used for ‘64-‘66 cars, and the second pic style was what they used for ‘69 and up. ‘67-‘68 used a squarish head blank.

Where was this Mopar Brochure/Ad Photo shot?

I rented one during a vacation in Europe back in 2010. About half an hour into the rental, I was driving on the highway at 185km/h (~115mph) when one of the rear tires blew up. The car remained stable enough that I could bring it to a safe stop. Luckily, we were in light traffic, but it is the...

NOT MINE 1968 Plymouth VIP 4-door hardtop, barn find, 34k miles, 318, Hamburg, Pennsylvania

Which I would assume was their reserve. Given it low miles and location, a Beachy Amish or progressive Mennonite family may be selling this VIP. Hence using the auction and no direct contact til now. The auction ended with high bid of 5000. That is what it is worth as the car does need to be...

Very common back in the day, quite possible the vinyl top was dealer installed. My Newport was born without the vinyl top,but was dealer installed.
