    For Sale 1966 Imperial convertible

The brake pedal push rod is different between this era Imperial and the '65-'68 C bodies. I have never gotten around to checking if the mounting stud pattern is different. Booster Dewey used to have plenty of spare C body push rods in stock that were left over from turning C body boosters into...

Another 72 Monaco back on the road

Both the wagons and the Imperials used the dual diaphragm boosters but the regular Chrysler hardtops and sedans got the single diaphragm wider boosters starting in 1971. In trying to stop a large heavy wagon or Imperial, the dual diaphragm booster will give you more applying force to more...

Will a Generic Dorman check valve work in my Midland-Ross booster?

If you are getting hissing when the brakes are applied, that usually means the diaphragm is leaking and the booster needs to be rebuilt. Booster Dewey exchange in Portland does quality restoration work on boosters, and his boosters are all shipped with new check valves as part of the repair...

    Brake Booster Question

I was contemplating using one of these: Right Stuff RPB8001: 8" Brake Booster Mopar Dual Diaphragm - JEGS High Performance They're for a b-body and will mount to the master cylinder. Anyone tried something like this? A source of new boosters would be very desirable. How difficult would it be...

    Brake Booster Question

The B body boosters have a smaller pushrod and the bolt pattern for the studs that mount the booster to the car are different. You have to make a bunch of modifications to use it. It's not worth the trouble. Just get yours rebuilt. Jeff

    Recommendation for brake booster rebuild??

Power Brake Booster Exchange | Providing Parts for Classic Cars (boosterdeweyexchange.com) I used Steve's service with no issues. He was very helpful with my 4-disc conversion! And his assistant, Audrey, is nice to talk to.

Bottom Line… Just wanna know if this comment is legit?

I assume you meant to say "...and replace it with a 69-73 C body NON BUDD disc brake system..." - in a word, NO. According to others (@detmatt being among those who I would qualify as an expert on the Imperial Budd disc systems), since the caliper brackets and mounting stuff and spindle...

    confused

Yes, manual brakes are simple for repairs, can't argue that. I replaced boosters on two '66 Monaco's last year, seats in and steering column up, and it wasn't something I'd want to do every day, because the getting up or down was the hardest part. Did have one nut that gave me trouble on one...

So I bought this one today.

...sense to fix the passenger side inner when the one from the parts car is rock solid. I dropped off the 3 pieces, the 2 braces that go from the fender to the firewall and some body bolts at the paint shop just now. Also sent a couple of brake boosters out to booster Dewey a couple of weeks ago.:)

    Dual diaphragm booster of woes.

I had a similar problem on my 66 Fury, I called The Ram Man and he suggested that I do a field test so I could see with my own eyes whether or not it was working. He has several videos about testing boosters after removing it from the car and having it isolated from other potential issues. He...

1968 Chrysler 300 power brake problem

That's EXACTLY what the booster on Gertrude has been doing, and when the "hiss" got bad enough to attenuate power braking last week, I pulled the booster. I now will pull the manual plate and pedal off Mathilda, install THAT on Gertrude, and bid brake booster issues "Good riddance" on that car...

    Found disk brake booster

Sorry to be the bearer of not very good news, but these boosters are essentially Unicorns. I know a little bit about the subject, having done business with Booster Dewey (Booster Steve, now) last Fall, borrowing another member's booster (from a car he has apart and is currently restoring) so I...

Anther option is send the wheel cylinders out for rebuild , they can sleeve them if needed . My 64 880 I have the same problem . I use a 1/4 drive 6 point deep six point on the bleeder valve. WANTED Need Midland Ross Booster

To all; I'm looking for a good Midland Ross Power Brake Booster. I have a 1968 Fury that an earlier owner replaced the booster with a delete plate. Every source, I can find, lists them, at around $125. (yes even the hated Cardone) But the same people also state they're out of stock. (Note...

Imperial With Rear Drum Conversion - Brakes Sticking?

Hello all, all 4 of my '75 Imperial's brakes are dragging and I need some help troubleshooting before I spend even more money on this problem. Please keep in mind that this is my first project vehicle and that I'm only 19 so this is a learning experience for me, I'm also currently at school and...

Fuselage - Drums to Disc Brake Conversion

That later booster sounds like an interesting option. I looked at the pics on Rock Auto and it appears to be a dual diaphragm. Wider single diaphragm boosters usually interfere with column shift linkage on slab-side C-bodies. How wide is the diameter of this booster? Thanks
