8.55 ~ H78 series width ~ P225 - P235 in today's world. The parts book says 6" rim for 8.55.

Seen this before where the trunk trim was on a base 67 Newport. The trim was optional on base.

My experience tells me the 8.55 was installed on 14x6 rims. 8.25 on 5.5 rims. The 8.55 is wider and TALLER than 8.25.

The added piece between the hood and headlights is a nice touch. Gives it a more finished look
