1969 Fury I turn signals were slowing down now dont work

Is the battery negative grounded to the engine and the engine grounded to the firewall (body) behind the right cylinder head? If so, is the ground to the body good? I have solved problems in the past by replacing a frayed cable and/or cleaning up connections at this area. On one car, I even...

    Mystery brake issue.

Have you checked the distribution block or proportioning valve, depending on which one you have? Could be partially plugged or maybe the proportioning valve needs to be reset?

Tacked the quarter together with everything properly located. Tomorrow I'll drop the tub and do it all up final and then do the prep and paint for final install. Feels like i've been about to install the tub for a while now, but it seems we're finally ready. Hopefully the floor just goes...

I was thinking of eventually going with the Hughes Performance Torque Converters 24-20. Thats a 2000 Stall. I will see if they have a 2200.

For Sale 1968 Chrysler New Yorker 4 dr sedan TNT

I want this car so bad and it is a double edge sword. Want it, could afford it, but far away and already deal with 11 cars, but is the top year for a New Yorker in my book.

    Killed a coil

Not in the Polara as that has the HEI from years back that I showed here. Although when I had issues with the Pertronix II maybe it was the coil. I was out taking a drive in my Cougar before it got closed up in a garage with two cars behind it waiting on engines. Everything went fine for 17...

    Mystery brake issue.

The wheel cylinders were replaced. Upon removal, the lines were dripping, so I can't say there's a restriction further up the line. They were dripping pretty slowly, but dripping nevertheless.

Introducing my new-to-me 1961 Newport.....and everything wrong with it.....erm...so far.

Those stamp codes look more like some inspection codes rather than anything related to the model of car the block came in, to me. Just my suspicion. The "-" number after the casting number probably relates to the version of the casting cores used to cast the block. Such "-" numbers exist on...

    Interior lighting lights…

Yes, the dual contact bulb is used. I couldn't find a switch or anything similar. The cable insulation is a bit dry, but I couldn't see any breakage.

rebuilt 301 vibrates at around 3k RPM or 40 mph

It's ported at the base of the carb. I know this because I hooked the vacuum gauge to it and only shows vacuum at higher rpm's.

Finally... Taking my 66 on Route 66!

Well.... It's been a year in the planning and many things have changed. Originally my wife and I were going to drive the New Yorker to Chicago and then follow as much of the historic route 66 back to California. That was before we knew that we had a new granddaughter showing up the same week...
