    67 Newport Custom interior

Chrysler offered a cloth bucket seat option for half a year in 1966. I think it was one of the "Spring Special" packages. It was only available in white vinyl with black cloth seating surfaces. If you end up having trouble finding someone to make the upholstery that you want, you can use...

    when to use Loctite

If you have a bolt or nut with Loctite on it, the simplest way to remove is just a little heat. I've done it a lot... The one that comes to mind is a prototype piece I built for a former employer. It had about 40 2-56 stainless screws in 6061 aluminum. All were installed with red Loctite. A...

Steel Rims - 1969 Chrysler T&C Which to use? 7 inch or 7-1/2 inch width ?

Just looked at those last night, they are $1000 a set of 4. Considering reproduction 15x7 standard wheels are $175 each, that's not a bad price.

    when to use Loctite

Back in the sixties, one of the guys on the team Loctited the nut (single nut, '51-'55 style) on the cam on our AA/FD hemi dragster. getting it back off ruined the cam and we had to get another one; YMMV

    What'cha think?

I'd love to find a set of Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels for this. Anyone? That's the only other wheel that looks right on an Imperial of this vintage. Plus, finding a 5-on-5-1/2" wheel that doesn't look like a pimp wheel is impossible.

    What'cha think?

I'll just say that I'm glad you are restoring the original wheel covers. One other editorial comment on Imperials overall: I find Imperials never look good with aftermarket wheel treatments of any kind...I've seen the use of other year Imperial wheel covers or Mopar wheels, like road wheels on...

2024 Mopars In The Park, Stillwater, MN May 31st-June 2 2024.

I may make it this year. I didn’t pre-register. Will definitely decide this weekend. It seems like the hotels are still reasonable so far.

how to free or prevent sticky valves and lifters

Valvoline has a new oil called "restore and protect" Lake Speed JR. does a dive into it on his you tube channel. Unfortunate, I don't see any 10-30,10-40 available.

    What'cha think?

I've had this car for ten years as of June 3! Doesn't seem like it.

    What'cha think?

I'm currently restoring the '66 wheel covers. They are seven separate parts and weigh about 180 pounds each...OK, maybe eight. Anyway, for the Memorial Day car show today, I wasn't too hip on showing it with the bare painted wheels. So, on went these Moon covers I've had for a few years...

    Car cover advice

...material. Car cover makers want you to believe that you can't or shouldn't cover your car with something that doesn't "breath" because they *can't* make an impermeable water-proof cover. At least not one that can be folded and stand up to UV. Or it would be very heavy, probably use...

    Car cover advice

If it's only for a couple months, and you are still planning on driving it, I wouldn't cover it. Here's the problems with covers... The car has to be clean or you scratch the paint when you put it on or take it off. If the car is dirty, then the cover is dirty too. That's a problem when...

    FANTOM WORKS 71 SPORT FURY 383 6BBL

Right, my only point is it is a factory high impact color. Not to debate the merits of the car. The car fits the requirements of the display.
