    What'cha think?

By observation, some people feel like "experts" and MUST make some comment to confirm that to their friends. Which results in those "educated-sounding" comments that are completely incorrect. In the 1980s, at the cruise-ins our Mopar club members went to, some teens would come up to a 426HEMI...

    Oil

Typically, once you get out of the OEM viscosity ranges, zddp concentrations can increase. Many WalMarts also carry a black bottle Edge synthetic oil which is "SL" rated, which means at least at 1000ppm zddp, which is near the minimum of any oil for enough zddp, plus the synthetic baseoils help...

    Some interior lights out

You might have "hit the jackpot" in the other bulbs not coming back on. Do the bulbs FIRST, checking the integrity of the two "wings" on the sockets, as the plastic can be prone to breaking (as an "age" situation). but keep the other possibilities in mind too. Easiest things first. CBODY67

    For Sale 1969 Chrysler 300 ($7,800.00 obo)

I've decided to part with my beloved 300. I sadly do not have the resources to giver her a proper restoration. In the interest of transparency, I paid $6,500 for her in 2019 and put in about $1,500, so I'd like to come out even, give or take. But I'll accept any reasonable offer to keep her from...

In that case the only option this car has is a radio. The rest is standard New Yorker equipment. It is a very nice car for a standard package.

Power steering pump bracket freed - almost

I would pull the rest of the water pump housing bolts out and try to get the housing off. I'm thinking that if you have managed to get the bolt out that far, you are probably out past the block and it's stuck in the housing. Even if the bolt is still in the block a touch, a little heat might...

Power steering pump bracket freed - almost

So after putting off the inevitable job that I knew would surely be laced with all kinds of language, I finally decided this was the weekend to deal with a stripped pwr. Steering bracket bolt (lower one btw). I was able to get the pump off, get the top bolt out, and much to my surprise, get the...

    Car cover advice

Yes, DEW POINT. And moisture from underneath. Unavoidable. That's why I park the cars over a vinyl tarp and under a raised roof, any raised roof that don't touch the car.

It is exactly that, an engine block heater. There would be a 110V male plug and cord hooked to that freeze plug. You'd plug it in and it would keep the engine warm enough to turn over and have heat just a bit earlier. It was something for cold weather climates. I can't say I've seen a...

how to free or prevent sticky valves and lifters

Lacquer thinner does cut the varnish off the valve guides. It will clean out the entire intake runners and combustion chamber and rings. Don't put it in the car's gas tank unless you plan to replace "all" the rubber parts in the fuel system. Also, the fuel pickup sock will clog repeatedly...
