Hello, I am in search of production numbers of non letter car 64's with 4 speeds. Any one have that info? And, to clarify, 64 and 65 are the only years a Chrysler (not Dodge or Plymouth) can be a 4 speed? No 66's, 67's etc.? Neat thread, Thank you, Geoff

64's and 65's don't use the light. It was a 68 and later Hurst combination.

My 2 cents on that is, inlands had a reverse lock out, where Hurst's did not. I think it was a safety thing in Mopars mind as no other mfg ever did something like that.

Hello, from what I have learned on B-bodies, and I would assume it crosses over to all lines, Hurst's have a reverse light and Inland's do not. It appears to be a mid 68 transition (at least in B-bodies). I have never heard an explanation as to why, but that seems to be the case.
