Converting from points to Pertronix, confused by resistor wiring

I have a '66 Plymouth Fury and will be installing a Pertronix Ingitor II & the Flame Thrower II and was wondering if jumping the ballast resistor impacts the electronic voltage regulator? The previous owner removed the original voltage regulator and installed a "dimple-style" voltage regulator...

WANTED 187 or 699 Oil Pan

Yeah, I've checked these out from 440 Source. Matching numbers is not important for me and if my car didn't sit as low as it does, I would go with that one you attached but it has a deeper center sump and hence, decreases the clearance underneath. Thanks tho'

Shoddy Pad Under Dash, '66 Fury

I stripped everything from the firewall thank goodness. Installed a new firewall insulation pad with the black tar-looking cardboard on one side from DMT so now I will make a better attempt at installing the shoddy pad thanks both of your (Trace 300 & Imperial Eagle) tips.

Shoddy Pad Under Dash, '66 Fury

.... also, I wonder what the 2 round openings are for. The square opening looks it's to accommodate the reinforcing bracket arm for the front lower part of the dash.

Shoddy Pad Under Dash, '66 Fury

Hello, I am going to replace the insulation/shoddy pad under the dash of my 1966 Plymouth Fury from Detroit Muscle Tech's, Mopar C Body 65-73 Underdash Shoddy Pad Sound Insulation , and was wondering if anyone had purchased this for their car and what edge of the new pad goes towards the firewall?

65 Fury disc brake conversion advice

Did you install (bolt up) the proportioning valve to the fender? Looks like it but wanted to still ask because I'm going to install the same valve and meter to my '66 Fury.

    Correct pulleys for 440 w/AC

My 440 has a 4-groove (for AC) crankshaft pulley w/all 4 grooves at same diameter at 7-3/8"; my car does not have AC tho' and seems to limit me on water pump pulleys. Previous owner dropped in this 440 in my 66 Fury that looks like they pieced together but the belts squeeled and I have since...

    Parking Brake Trouble

Looking for some insight on how to fasten the front parking brake (e-brake) cable since the new cable does not come with the "squeeze"-type retainer that holds the end of the e-brake fitting in place at the pedal or chassis. Any ideas how to hold the new one in place? I've attached a couple of...

Have to replace the front parking brake (e-brake) cable and the new cable does not come with the "squeeze"-type retainer that holds the end of the e-brake in place at the pedal. Any ideas how to hold the new one in place? I've attached a couple of pics of the old-style clip and the new end...

    Brake proportioning valve

I'm a recent owner of a 66 Plymouth Fury that came with front disc and rear drum brakes with a SSBC proportioning valve (see attached pic). Since I am replacing the brake lines and all brake parts, I was curious if I should replace the proportioning valve. I have no clue if it works since I...

    Aluminum Radiators

This is very helpful CBODY67. I'm trying to do a good thing for my '66 Plymouth Fury with a 440 ci engine since I got the car without an engine, rad/cooling system items and am piecing it together. I guess my setup would be the same or very similar to your '66 Chrysler Newport. I would love...

    Overheating problem with Madeline

I'm leery that if I apply the 30 ft-lbs, it may damage the aluminum water pump housing since the torque spec is for the cast iron water pump housing. I'm guessing at least 5 lbs-ft less to tighten against the aluminum water pump housing.

    Overheating problem with Madeline

After poking around on the internet, I just ran across this site >>> Mopar Bolt Torque Specifications – Big Block ... where they list what looks like stock (cast iron) torque specs and show the water pump at 30 ft-lbs. Any thoughts on reducing that for an aluminum water pump to something a...
