1972 Polara California Highway Patrol Special

I was not aware of that. When did the switch to Dodge, 71 or 72?

Personally, I love it. If I could change anything, it would be the year. I prefer 1970.

NOT MINE 1970 Imperial LeBaron 2dr (Yellow, eBay, $5k starting price)

I agree. It's not rust free, but it's a pretty solid car. I'd say it's worth 5k. I had a 70 Imperial Lebanon years ago. I bought it for the 440. It was in about the same condition body wise, but hadn't run in years. It was a triple black 4 door ht and it was absolutely loaded. I bet it was...

Does anyone know what a 727 big block trans weighs?

I believe so, 150 lb limit is packaged weight. I've actually removed and installed many hoods by myself over the years with no trouble or damage. Just takes a bit of ingenuity. Wink, wink.

    Need 727 replacement.

Haha! Nice pun! I do agree that fluid, filter, and pan residue are all good indicators of trans condition. But still, unless I knew the vehicle it came out of was moving & shifting well, I'm rebuilding it. Trans bench presses are not my idea of fun so I will avoid multiple sets of high or low...

    Need 727 replacement.

I agree with all the above. I actually have one (1964) for sale on another site. I will be listing it on here shortly. I saved it out of a junk yard. They were about to pull the motor and crush the car, so I have no idea if it is good or not. I would never trust a used trans unless I new the...

SOLD 1970 Dodge Monaco 4 dood hardtop

I understand, I've been advised once myself, trying to be careful to not break the rules. Yes. This is/was a standard 440 out of a 1970 Chrysler Imperial LeBaron. I had this built by the one and only, Mr.4 speed- Herb McCandless, many years ago. I installed it in a PowerWagon that I restored...

Does anyone know what a 727 big block trans weighs?

I'm thinking somewhere in that ballpark also. Someone suggested using a bathroom scale. That's a great idea, I will try that. Thanks again!

Does anyone know what a 727 big block trans weighs?

I have a big block, push button 727 for sale. It's crated but I have no way to weigh it. A search on here comes up empty. Google says it weighs 161 pounds, probably including the torque converter, but I can not find anything else to confirm that. Has anyone weighed one, or know where I can find...
