New plugs & plug wires for the '65. Only managed to get 3 of the plug wires wrong at the distributor. :rolleyes: Once that got sorted out, it definitely idles smoother. Did a compression test and #5 is a little low, but it's running well enough to ignore this year.

I suspect that '65 Chrysler and Plymouth Fury wiring should be very similar (probably not 100% identical ) to the Dodge, but 1966 and newer cars have a different bulkhead connector design.

If you pull the cowl grill panel off, think about adding a piece of black window screen material underneath those slots. It is nearly invisible, and will keep 90% of the leaves, seeds, etc from getting down into the cowl. Anything small enough to go through the screen should wash right on...

If those are like the rest of the window motors, there is a thermal breaker inside that will cause those symptoms.
