Leaf Springs or Air Shocks for sagging 197070 Chrysler 300

Several years ago I asked an old friend mechanic to help with the tired look of my 1970 Chrysler 300. I was thinking leaf sprigs but he recommended air shocks. I'm looking for advice on what would be best in the long run. Not surpisingky, the shocks no longer hold air. Any advice and hints on...

Source for pump, hoses and all else necessary for sluggish top on 1970 Chrysler 300.

I doubt it's ever been lubed. I always do keep it running and even try to increase the rpms. I bet it's a combination of tired issues that need attention.

Source for pump, hoses and all else necessary for sluggish top on 1970 Chrysler 300.

Now that you mention it, the old salt who helped finally replace the original top last year said, "funny thing, when I hooked the battery charger up to that car the top went just fine". Or something along those lines. Maybe some lube, fluid check and an electrical boost will do the trick. I'll...

Advice on best source for 1970 Chrysler 300 Power Steering Pump

Last time I thought I'd found one, the company sent me a unit that was 2 inches short - 3 different times - in the end I lost around $400 because they don't accept returns.

Source for pump, hoses and all else necessary for sluggish top on 1970 Chrysler 300.

Yes, now that you say it, that's what it sounds like. Can you offer any more insights on updating the lines and cylinders? Where should I look for those parts? I've yet to lay eyes on the cylinders and lines but have always worried about a line bursting and the resulting mess.

Source for pump, hoses and all else necessary for sluggish top on 1970 Chrysler 300.

The top on my 300 is sluggish at best. It needs a lot of help to get it up, so to speak. I'm looking for advice on what all I should replace and best source for the best parts. Thank you in advance.

Help finding plastic clips for securing 1970 300 convertible boot

Good advice on asking for a sample. Mine is a funky 70s avocado green. The old timer that did the top and driver's seat was willing to replace the clips so I'll look into both.

Help finding plastic clips for securing 1970 300 convertible boot

Thanks a lot for all the information. Replacing the whole boot and putting the original in safe storage might be easier than getting those clips in properly and secure. Thanks again.

Help finding plastic clips for securing 1970 300 convertible boot

I'm hoping to find replacements for broken and aging black plastic hook-like fasteners for securing the boot when top is down. Thanks in advance

Thank you for the warm welcome.

Absolutely, thank you for helping add to the registry. Alas, the tag doesn't indicate bucket seats and a console like your beauty, much less a U-code 440!

Sorry for the delayed response. Yep, a Jack Russel. Not for sale today, but some days.... Here are a few photos, including the tag. The double snorkel was added by me. Unfortunately no TNT here. I wish. Since the heat broke here in mid-Missouri this is my daily driver. It just turned over 100k...

Thank you for the warm welcome.

I've been watching and enjoying the forum for about 10 years. I have an avocado green Chrysler 300 that I drive most summer days. She's all original except the top and driver's seat panel, but always needing something. I'm hoping to learn how to keep her in decent shape.
