    Wondering Car

Just thinking about what you have done. If you have worn parts your mechanic should have let you know when he did the alignment. Perhaps you should take it somewhere else.

    Wondering Car

Yes. There is a special procedure to adjust the steering box. You don’t want to overtighten it because it will cause damage. Get the service manual and look for the procedure on how to do it.

    Wondering Car

Try rotating tires front to back to see if there is any difference. I have seen tires do some funny things over the years. This is a no cost test before you put anymore money into the car.

1966 Fury III - Unfinished Project

I have to give you credit. It can be challenging to do exhaust work even on a hoist. I can only imagine the difficulty you experience doing it on the ground. Kudos to you.

    To all my Fellow Veterans

Our granddaughter was asked to draw a picture demonstrating a before and after result of the wars to commemorate Remembrance Day. This is the incompleted version of her thoughts. She has since added red poppies to finalize it. The drawing is on display at the local legion. I am glad the...

I need to replace my 904

It’s been quite awhile since I did one of these but there are a couple of things you can check. If I remember correctly you can have a misalignment of the pump halves. There is some play in the bolt holes that allow for slight movement. When you take it apart take a close look to see if the...

    Nice car

No they have a successful business and aren’t hurting for money. Plus they have a strong tie to their deceased father who owned many of the toys. We tried to buy the Stealth but it was a no. They have a huge selection of toys and no time to play with them.

    Nice car

No it was too dark in there. They have two or three of them and they belonged to the father who passed away about seven years ago. I don’t think they have been driven for a long time.

    Nice car

Looked at this one today. It’s a 91 stealth with extremely low miles on it, I believe it’s approximately 14k kilometres. Hasn’t been run in several years and needs to be gone through prior to starting it. My son wanted to purchase it but the owner won’t sell. It’s a highly optioned twin turbo...

1966 Fury III - Unfinished Project

Usually if you over tighten the nut it will squash the sleeve and the end result will be too much preload on the bearings. This will result in a very tight pinion not loose as you describe. I suspect you didn’t tighten it enough. I always check the number of threads showing prior to removing the...

1966 Fury III - Unfinished Project

I guess the first thing is why did you remove the yoke. Need a bit more info. Not sure if this diff utilizes a crush sleeve to maintain preload. If it did there is a good chance it’s not tight enough. Also you may have damaged the seal when you did this procedure.

What did you do to your C-body today....

Started to service the car getting ready for storage. Changed the antifreeze and during warm up I noticed excessive blow by coming out of the breather. On investigation I found that I had no vacuum going to the pcv at all. Checked the vacuum hose and noticed the port was completely blocked off...
