    Fender Data Plate Help

So, after decoding, the following questions: Under TRM R=9 which says special order or leather. Was leather an option in the Newport this year? Also, second row Q2 says "astrophonic delux am", what's this "astrophonic"? Is there any place that sells a replica MSRP if I give the VIN number?

    Paint code mystery

Thanks guys for your help. From looking at a lot of paint chips and other cars, the original paint in the engine compartment and under trunk is indeed Mist Blue FF-1 with a very slight green tinge. The car was clearly repainted in either Naussau Blue DD-1 or some other non-Chrysler similar...

I didn't catch this previously, good input. Would the interior color be on the data plate somewhere?

    Paint code mystery

Same issue under the hood and under trunk. Under (original?) paint has a slight greenish hue. Fender tag FF-1 is "blue mist", does it have a greenish hue in reality?

    Fender Data Plate Help

New to me 65 Newport off of Hemmings (Avatar). Had a 65 Sport Fury for a while, sold it, now have this. Love the Mopar 65 styling. Partial restoration about 20 years ago. 383 2 barrel. Absolutely everything works including the fender blinkers. 86K miles (title history verified). Smooth...

    Paint code mystery

New 65 Newport for me off the internet, which means I didn't inspect the car first (I know). Used to have a 65 Sport Fury, sold it while ago, now this. Love the 65 Mopar styling. Anywhoo, the paint code on the fender tag is FF-1, mist blue. That's what I thought this was. But clearly it has...

    Twisted steering column?

Just got this 65 Newport. Restored ~20 years ago, 86K original (verified). 383 2bl, no AC. I used to have a 65 Sport Fury, sold it many years ago, now this one. I will have a bunch of questions for you experts. Love the 1965 Mopar styling. Anywhoo, the steering column seems to be twisted...

Oil viscosity and type for a 426 street wedge

I have a 1965 Sport Fury with an original block 426 and 4 spd. Haven't changed the oil since I have had it (but check it regularly), maybe 2000 miles has been driven. Edelbrock heads, intake and carb. 10.5:1 supposedly, dynoed at 408 hp at 5100. Old standard 10W-40, or a newer 0-20W synthetic?

1965 Sport Fury 426 fuel pump

Interestingly, I went to a NAPA and the counter teenager tried to sell me an electric one. Bwahahahaha. As usual, excellent help on this forum, thanks folks!

1965 Sport Fury 426 fuel pump

Car is original numbers matching 426 street wedge block (has Edelbrock Al heads now) with a 4 speed. I would much rather prefer to just purchase and replace the pump, this is a very, very nice driver, but as the non-stock heads suggest, is not a 100pt show car. Wouldn't any RB engine part...

1965 Sport Fury 426 fuel pump

Wandering around the internet, I can find multiple listings for this. Some specify Carter M3672, others M6866 (bid difference in lever arm length). Differences probably due to engine types/sizes? Which one is the right one, or what would you guys recommend?
