Oil viscosity and type for a 426 street wedge

I have a 1965 Sport Fury with an original block 426 and 4 spd. Haven't changed the oil since I have had it (but check it regularly), maybe 2000 miles has been driven. Edelbrock heads, intake and carb. 10.5:1 supposedly, dynoed at 408 hp at 5100. Old standard 10W-40, or a newer 0-20W synthetic?

1965 Sport Fury 426 fuel pump

Interestingly, I went to a NAPA and the counter teenager tried to sell me an electric one. Bwahahahaha. As usual, excellent help on this forum, thanks folks!

1965 Sport Fury 426 fuel pump

Car is original numbers matching 426 street wedge block (has Edelbrock Al heads now) with a 4 speed. I would much rather prefer to just purchase and replace the pump, this is a very, very nice driver, but as the non-stock heads suggest, is not a 100pt show car. Wouldn't any RB engine part...

1965 Sport Fury 426 fuel pump

Wandering around the internet, I can find multiple listings for this. Some specify Carter M3672, others M6866 (bid difference in lever arm length). Differences probably due to engine types/sizes? Which one is the right one, or what would you guys recommend?

    Engine Starting Trouble

I drive my 65 Sport Fury only about once very few weeks. Over time, it takes longer and longer amount of cranking to get it fired up. Like it has to pull gas all the way from the tank. No leaks that I can find. Worried about frying the starter. What can I look for to try to understand what...

    Wheel backspact/offset

I have a 65 Sport Fury with old style Cragers on it. Want to get some Magnums, but unclear what size. Current tires are 255/60/15 on back and 235/60/15 front, they will be reused. Pretty sure this is 15x8, but there are two backspaces offered by WheelsVintique, 4/5" and 5". What would be the...

    Limp Brake Pedal

I was fixing up some wiring on my 65 Sport Fury and somehow just noticed after owning the car for 3 years, the break pedal is much further back than the clutch. Took it out, no issues with the brakes (power), pedal is firm with reasonable travel, it just starts back further than the clutch...

Touchup paint for 65 Sport Fury Bright Red

After 2 years pretty much done freshening up my baby. Mostly new interior, trunk re-do, few engine pieces here and there, new TTI exhaust (sound is absolutely intoxicating). Dyno'ed right at 401 rwhp at Sharadon in Hugo, MN, due to the Edelbrock heads, intake, and carb on the original block...

    Getting the old girl started

Yep, will be at Mopars in the Park next year, for sure. Engine sounds better when warm, but still a lot of clattering. Interior pics coming when I get the other front seat installed (need some special square bolts fabricated).

    Radio problems

So I re-installed the refurbished original radio in my 65 sport fury this weekend. Tested it, all seemed good. Went for a drive in the car and turned on the radio, clearly there is some kind of electrical interference related to the ignition causing static. You can hear the high frequency...

    Getting the old girl started

Yep, 4 speed. Has original block still, but Edelbrock heads and intake and carb. PS and PB. I don't know the rear end, but it hums at about 3200 rpm at 60mph. Was a magazine article car back in 2000. Has been sitting for a while when I got it 2015. Slowly freshening it up, interior this...

    Getting the old girl started

Thanks guys. Cleaned the points and cap terminals (they were pretty corroded), threw some gas down the carb, and about 10 seconds later it started.
