    '74 Monaco hood release?

My hood doesn't "pop" up after the latch releases. I pull the lever and the hood will release, but won't "pop up" to get fingers in to the latch. I've greased everything, adjusted the height of the latch assembly on the radiator support. I don't have a spring like my B body has, that makes the...

Drilled and slotted rotors for Monaco?

They are only really good for performance applications to dissipate heat. My car is getting a 392 hemi and will see track time..So I need something more aggressive than stock. But, that's becoming a challenge.

Drilled and slotted rotors for Monaco?

I'll probably have to just use oem...But, it seems like as long as the bolt pattern is the same a rotor used on B bodies would work?

    392 Monaco

Just getting it to sit in the car right and header fitment will be the big probs. After that it will be a breeze with the new Mopar swap kit. The 6.1 is a great motor..My Road Runner had one and it was like driving a new car around. You'll love it! If I can help or you have questions just holler...

    392 Monaco

The Satellite did have a 727 with a 6.1. The 727 worked great except no overdrive.

    392 Monaco

Probably will sell it, it's a decent little 318..Not sure about the 727 tho, deciding what trans to use in the swap..Either a modern trans like a Nag1 or keep the 727 and put a gearvenders overdrive.

    392 Monaco

Doesn't show in those pics, but the Satellite got power disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. The Monaco is getting the same setup..Worked really well.

    392 Monaco

Yup, going for shock factor. Almost made a deal on a Hellcat engine and trans..But it sold too fast.

    392 Monaco

Some pics of the Satellite 6.1 swap. The Monaco will be fairly faster than this car..The 392 in stock form puts down 60-70 more rwhp than a 6.1. Got my 9.25 rear this weekend also, gonna have it rebuilt with 3.90 gears and Yukon axels.

    392 Monaco

Began the nose swap..Took the '77 front clip off. Should look just like a '74 by the end of the week. Biggest problem I foresee will be just getting the hemi and trans to sit right in the K frame. It was a pain with my '70 B-body and it had a lot of aftermarket support...This car has zero. Lol.

8.25 to 9.25 rear swap on 77 Monaco

I wouldn't have even bothered with swapping rears, but a 8.25 wouldn't last long behind a 392 hemi. Lol

8.25 to 9.25 rear swap on 77 Monaco

I passed on the disc setup..It's impossible to find rotors and other things. Just getting a regular 9.25 with drums. Thanks everyone for the warnings cuz at the time, I didn't know it was hard to find parts for this setup.
