Welcome to the madness!! We won't hold being a Swede against you. I married one. My wife is also J Anderson, but I'm a Dane, so I'm an Andersen.

    I have a confession to make…

Yeah, that one was hard for me to let pass. But all my toy boxes are full. And I'm already borrowing storage space for 8 at my friends place.

    Any vintage tractor owners?

Why farm some, when you can Farmall! The original Farmall turned 100 in 1923, my F-30 is only 87. I also have a 1934 McCormick Deering I-12, two IH 3444's, and 4 IH Cub Cadets.

No J67 on my car. But the wiring all looks factory. Right down to the Pentastar on the trailer plug cover.

Shout out for SMS Auto Fabrics

In stock yardage ships quickly, and the prices are fair. Just spent $1300 on some IH truck cloth and vinyl, enough to do four bench seats.

    Name that girl

I sent her a letter when she was in Alderson F.P.C., I had other friends there and gave her some "inside" tips. I got a reply from her corporation, it said if I'd like to support her in her time of need, I should subscribe to one of her magazines.

    Legendary auto

I have had excellent service from SMS when purchasing factory cloth and vinyl materials. Recently bought cloth for a '71 Chevy truck, and a '75 IH truck. Asked for Tanbark cloth and vinyl samples for a '77 IH Scout II and they arrived in 3 days. But I'm talking yardage, not custom made...

Trying to find what transmission is in my 1972 Dodge Polara?

The parts book lists 3515873 as an A94-1 early style with 318 c.i.d. engine. It does matter much as 70's 94A-1, 904, and 727 use the same neutral safety/backup light switch.

    1972 Imperial Revival Thread

I would never consider using an on the car rotor lathe on a vehicle that I did not know when the last time that the wheel bearings were repacked/replaced. I service the wheel bearings on all my rear wheel drive cars and trucks every 30K. I just like the piece of mind, wheel seals and grease are...

What rubber to use for exhaust hangers?

Recycled tire sidewalls were very common in many factory exhaust hangers. Go deluxe and use a whitewall!

NOT MINE 1978 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham Coupe - Only 47K Miles! - $4,950 (Maryville,TN)

My pal got hot and bothered over this one, and wanted me to drive him down to pick it up. UNTIL, I blew up the pictures, and pointed out the cracked steering wheel, tattered kick panels, and tape on the front seat upholstery. I'm thinking 147K.

    PS pressure line leak

The purpose of the nut is to put pressure on the flare of the tubing against the flare seat, not to seal on the outside.

No teflon tape is required on the flare nut.

Photos of Vintage Auto Dealerships, Repair Shops, and Gas Stations

I plowed snow with a McCormick Deering 10 20 just like this back in the early 1970's. I was in high school. Our tractor had rear fenders, with a hand crank winch to raise and lower the blade.

    1969 IH Scout side project

Sorry, I thought I saw flanged axles in the video. But from your picture, and re-watching the video, she has a Dana 30 rear with tapered axles.

    1969 IH Scout side project

Nice find! Wish a couple would drop in my lap. It's a Dana 44 rear, chassis numbers below G422014 had Powr-Lok, above had Trac-Lok, IH never changed the decal in the glove box door. With a 196 it's almost guarantied to be 4.27 ratio. I've been selling IH parts since 1972, and I have some NOS...
