I have definately taken that into account. I have a front and rear ssbc disc brake kit for the car and am having my engine builder weld in subframe connectors. The whole front end is coming apart for a full rebuild and paint. Still dont know if i should rebuild my 8 3/4 or go dana 60.

I went ahead and built a 383 since it was the original motor. Went with muscle motors 496 kit and f1 procharger. Has plenty of power off the line with 323 gears. But is very expensive to build. I have hooked 5113hk headers. They may be 1 3/4. They work fine for your hp level. They are in my 496 build that synod at around 600hp

There's nothing that says sleeper like a procharger on a 496! And all hidden under the hood. You will hear it though!
