    I’ve been catching episodes of adam12 on ME/TV lately. The original episode officer Malloy has a line he says to rookie Reed, “this is a 325 horsepower over head valve V8 engine...” and so on. Talking about the 383 looks like a satellite but I think it’s a sub model.

    I caught the end of the original Columbo movie from February 1968. Columbo caught the killer who was driving, what I believe was a 67 New Yorker convertible. I love watching that era TV to see the brand new cars from the 60s and 70s!!

    Thanks, I appreciate the help. I have all the letters figured out. The numbers are what I can’t figure out. There’s a lot of 9s. Seems the 9 in the vin number means police, also the 9 under the D means police as well.

    Im trying to get my tag decoded. I figured out everything under the letters. Can someone help me with the number codes. This is a 65 fury, first sold as a police car. Under the 3 is a 9 which means variable wipers, the rest I can’t find. Thanks!!

    I think I read somewhere there was around 17 paint colors to choose from, if it’s 400+or- the car could be between 10 and 40, just like it. Dana 53? I will have to look that up.
