Figure out what gear you need and then place a Parts wanted ad here for a used one. Brewer Performance and Mega Parts USA are a couple vendors that sell new ones. What year is your transmission? It makes a difference.

I have my choke hooked to the feed side of the ballast as well. It seems to work just fine. No reason to cover the choke well hole in the intake. It's just a cavity.

If you are going to do it use small carbs like the 390 cfm. If I remember, the 2x4 Poly intake is a dual plane so you can't use progressive linkage. You will have to run off of 4 barrels or 8 when you kick the pedal down. Even with small carbs, that's unnecessary on a stock Poly.

I always start with the back of the slot just touching the pin on the carb like in this photo. THat should get you close. I always use the adapter that positions it correctly. (gold colored one in the photo) Switching from a 2 barrel to a 4 barrel or switching brands of carbs makes a difference...

A 65 Polara should have a 8 3/4.

Right you are. A new member from FABO switched to a 4 barrel and I pointed out his misadjusted kickdown. He mentioned the car came that way and 2-3 shift was slipping. :BangHead::BangHead: Damage is done. I suggested fixing the kickdown and servicing the transmission and a band adjustment...

Agreed. Toe should be measured at the center of the tire and not where it is convenient to measure.

How are you going to measure thrust angle? How about simple toe adjustment? String or tape measure? from what points? Just asking.
