Behind back seat 1968 Plymouth fury iii

I find this sheet intriguing with its jumbled code-mix, and so many of which I can find no reference for. I'd consider it "something other than" a broadcast sheet as we are accustom to. I made a pass-through on it. @69CoronetRT - can you add any insight on this? A May SPD is somewhat late...

Behind back seat 1968 Plymouth fury iii

Not the original seat(s) for your car, maybe? Lot's of '69 and later codes on there. Also a boatload of codes I don't have reference for - hopefully Doug can shed some light. Not even sure "what" this car is....full size Plymouth 4-door; Canadian built??? Green inside and out? - first time...

1968 fury iii power brakes or no

A '68 with factory power brakes will have the digit "1" embossed below the "H" of the uppercase A-Z row on the fender tag (sales/order code 451). With power brakes, your heel on the floor and just using the ball of your foot on the pedal is appropriate and will achieve wheel-lock; With manual...

    Thoughts on 67 Dodge Polara

No... But if you simply smash it to the floor in "D", you'll be going 65 before it can be bothered to shift to 2nd!:)

    WIW 68 VIP

For a point of comparison, here is a 318 one in Illinois that just popped up on Facebook overnight asking $8500. Anyone should be able to navigate to it by the item address. Only one pic to speak of, so you'd have to contact the seller I suppose. FWIW Mark

1966 Sport Fury. Where to start?

I'd be in this school of thought, also. Hard to beat a 383 for all-around "balance". Appears you don't have A/C which keeps it a bit simpler. On the other hand, you'd need a different transmission and driveshaft - possibly a radiator too. I turned your pics and tweaked on them a little...

    1966 Windsor tag decode please

I believe OPs car was a SPD of November 8, 1965 with the "B". February would still be "2", I think. Attached example is a '66 Charger tag - 383 4bbl with 4spd manual trans; SPD May 2, 1966 as I understand it to be.

    1966 Windsor tag decode please

Looking at OP's pics, I'm going to surmise that the E3 is actually a package code - 353: "Appearance" (also called Dress Up), which in the case of a 2-door Newport nets just Bumper Reveal Moldings (visible in pics), and Deluxe Wheel Covers (missing after 56 years...go figure!) A couple other...

    1966 Windsor tag decode please

Concur with Ross on all his points - whatever you scanned appears to have an error. F was a 361 in '66; G was 383 2bbl, and J was 440. Additionally, the A6/B1 on the fender tag is 383 (61 engine 'code' on order info and broadcast sheet). 413's are all at least 4-bbl, and digits are A7/B0 for...

    1966 Windsor tag decode please

Pretty much everything. That one looks pristine (edit: OK - maybe not pristine, but dang nice!) - I'd extract it very carefully and store it safely. Be sure to check that it is the correct one for your car - matches your VIN and Fender Tag ...If not, list it as found in the Lost & Found...

    1966 Windsor tag decode please

I'll ponder your "E" code some more. It appears that you DO have a "tinted windshield only", so maybe k2 is correct - I usually think of mirrors for "k". Have you thought about pulling the back seat to check for a broadcast sheet in the back's springs?

A 67 Newport just landed in my Barn

BTW - I'm sure you already looked, but back to one of your original questions: Box for code 359 "Trailer Tow" is blank, so your car did not come from the factory with a towing package.

A 67 Newport just landed in my Barn

I believe this to be correct - 536 happens to be the code for a remote outside left-hand mirror. I think that's the only code I see on your broadcast in a 'completely undescribed' slot. The other code boxes are as @cbarge says: - if the digit prints below it, the car gets whatever the thing is...

    1966 Windsor tag decode please

Still building on my various info lists. This may not be fully accurate. For the "last" W under paint - is the "sweep" on your car White? (the paint area enclosed within the double chrome trim) Pic for reference: Sales Order B0800245 Body C = Chrysler L = Newport (low price) 2 = 2-Door 3 =...

    1963 300 Help Decoding a Tag

I absolutely wholeheartedly agree...there weren't many in the first place :-/ And @Jalopy Papi one other thing- (I'm sure @69CoronetRT can attest....) ...oh to find steel in THAT condition in our neck-of-the-woods! I am so jealous....

    1963 300 Help Decoding a Tag

One additional note on OP's car (bid currently at $5001.00 when I looked last) - The trans appears to have had the manual swap into place instead of an auto. I wouldn't write off the engine as not original without putting hand/eyes on it: What's to stop someone from putting Short/Long Rams on...

    1963 300 Help Decoding a Tag

An interesting snippet quote from the 1960 C300 site. Note comment about engine 'options': "Here's another interesting limited production car commonly called the Pacesetter. It is also referred to as Pace Car. In 1963, Chrysler was again chosen to provide a pace car for the Indy 500, and...

    1963 300 Help Decoding a Tag

I don't think we're quite there yet. Getting late and I can't look further tonight, but from what I've found so far: 300-J=84; 300 "no letter"=82; 300 Pacesetter=80. Both body-digits do match/carry between VIN plate and body tag. The blue convertible is 805 (5=conv & only Newports (81) and...
