    Weird-***, goofy Mopar trivia thread

Actually, it was a 413, the same industrial version used in the 900 and 1000 series Dodge trucks. Mack referred to it as a 414. They used the the two piece SAE industrial bell and clutch housings.

What's The Cheapest You Remember A Gallon of Gas?

I worked at a local gas station here in northern NM when I was was in high school in 1972. Regular was 22 cents and premium was at 24 cents a gallon. That was for self-serve. It was 2 cents a gallon each more for "full service", which got you your windshield washed and your gas pumped for...

    Tool ideas?

Any well stocked plumbing supply shop should have a 1/2" "cross". They are available in either black or galvanized iron, brass, or even PVC plastic. You can get pipe bushings to bush it down to either 1/4" or 1/8", depending on the size of the schrader valve and the gauge. Get a couple of...

    What's it worth, '57 Fireflite?

Very IMPORTANT advice. I am currently working on a '57 Desoto convertible. Even after five years, I am still looking for several little parts that were common to most models that year. The parts supply for these cars is very limited and usually very expensive. Chrome trim, lenses, and...

    Chrysler Part GUESS!?

Chrysler used different sizes over the years. My '63 used two different sizes for the belt line and rocker moldings.

    How does this happen?

I bought a '72 Road Runner that had the long rear spring shackles and shock extensions that were popular back in the '80's. One of the control arms was cracked like this one and both pin sockets on the k-frame were wallowed so bad that I had to replace the k-frame and both torsion bars.

    Can this be repaired??

All it would take is around 30 gallons of bondo and an equal amount of alcohol.

    Social Security Number Suspended Calls

I have the same problem in my area. Lots of numbers with a local prefix. I can't block them as it tells me I can't delete an already blacklisted number. I'll probably be sharing quarters with Lefty71 as I routinely remind them that their family tree is a pencil.

    Power antenna identification

I've been going through boxes of parts that I have stored for years and found this power antenna that I have no idea what it fits. It extends about 30". Anyone have any ideas?

    1955 Chrysler C-300 expensive

I knew/know the previous two owners of the car. A gentleman named Monty bought the car in Albuquerque in 1974 or 1975 with around 11k on the odometer. He wasn't the first owner. He took meticulous care of the car, but he did USE it. He had added well over 100k by the late eighties. It was...

    Who Here Has Seen This?

Hard to say, this is the second J I've owned and both had the same buckles. Build sheets on both cars specified front belts only. The buckles are identical to the ones in a '63 Newport I have except for the recess and the foil 300 badge.

    Who Here Has Seen This?

They are what my300J came with in '63. I have seen one '63 sport 300 that had them, although I don't know if they were original or not. The '63 parts manual shows the J having specific front seat belts. Don't have a '62 manual, but I think they are correct for the H also.

    Interesting Imperial in Kentucky

You analysis and math are correct. Having re-powered a couple of older mid sized trucks with these engines, it's easy to see why the car is for sale where it's at. The basic engine and trans wasn't too hard to install. With the right mounts, the mounting points are fairly close to the car's...
