    new door locks

I'll try the Lock-Ease first. It seems like the tumbler is out of whack, however. Super hard to get the key in. I have to wiggle slowly with some pressure to actually get it to go in and turn.

    new door locks

I need to rebuild my door hinges on the 70 Sport Fury, and my driver's side door lock is getting impossible to fit the key in and open, so might as well tackle that as well. What have people done? Just end up matching the door locks with the trunk lock? Open to suggestions here.

A4 70 Sport Fury GT finally complete!

Not sure how I missed this thread, but I did. Super nice. You going to give a shot at restoring the trunk emblem? I'm not sure I've found anyone who can get the paint to stick. I sure couldn't.

    Chrome pitting

You'd have to remove the bumper and then find a large enough bin to submerge it, but I know Oxalic Acid bath can remove rust like that. I've done it on chrome BMX frames before. Whether you can get it perfect or not, I'm not sure, but it does work.

    Aluminum trim restoration dilemma

Well, the Sport Fury got a black panel, so it'd be technically incorrect for your car.

Check Mr. G's. Otherwise, look in the parts catalog and get the part number and do online searches for NOS clips. Mr. G's Enterprises - Auto Fasteners

    Wollfen's 1971 Sport Fury GT !

You know, I was going to. I even bought 5 cans of the recommended 3M Spray Adhesive (can't remember which one but it wasn't the 77). At the last minute, I just decided to have a pro do it. SMS was expensive on the top and me potentially screwing it up wasn't something I could live with. Plus...

    Wollfen's 1971 Sport Fury GT !

Think you can see em here.... Light blue clips in the front, brown clips for the back. For '70 at least.

    Wollfen's 1971 Sport Fury GT !

That's right. The trim clips do get put in on top of the vinyl. You would think I'd know that seeing as I just installed mine a few months ago. How soon we (I) forget. haha.

    Wollfen's 1971 Sport Fury GT !

I don't think you need to replace the glass, per se. Just the trim. However, it'll be difficult making sure you have enough glue on those ends and applying enough pressure to get it tucked in the channel.

    Sport Fury headlight doors

Thank you. Yeah. I kinda figured that’s where they went. Now I just have to figure how to get them on. Such a pain. Haha Well at least the bumper and valance is on. Needs some adjustments but I’ll get there eventually.

    Sport Fury headlight doors

Ok I think the C clips do go on the door rods. The V clips hold the motor rod in place.

    Sport Fury headlight doors

I wonder. Does it go on the hinge bolt for the other side?

    Sport Fury headlight doors

Do these C-clips go on the inner side post of the 70 SF headlight doors? Do they go before those V clips or after? Also any tips how to get them on, if so? I can’t get them on for the life of me. Thanks.

Front bumper on before fender wells?

Whats your thoughts: Front bumper assembly (I’m installing it will the the grille, etc) on before installing the fender wells for easy of access to bolts or doesn’t it matter? Looking for a quick opinion. Thanks.

    Weatherstrip question

im holding my passenger door channel weatherstrip. Which direction should it go? Does the sharp cut end start towards the front of the car and then the ridge on the back goes over the front of the channel lip? Or does the odd shape end go first and the ridge in the back goes over the rear...
