For Sale 1966 Imperial Convertible Nice Shape

Well, perhaps the reserve price is low enough to make doing the work yourself or even paying someone worthwhile. I'd guess you could get most of it sorted over a weekend if you didn't need parts. Window motors can be cleaned and re-greased, but from someone who has recently been working inside...

For Sale 1966 Imperial Convertible Nice Shape

You'll have to scroll down to where it says See Full Item Description to view the rest of the photos. I suspect this isn't the best choice for a museum car, so the black underside wouldn't be as much of an issue. Might even help preserve it longer. Doubt it was ever restored, just detailed as...

For Sale 1966 Imperial Convertible Nice Shape

Herb or Mike? I forget who's who more and more these days.... Pretty surprised to see it only reach $12.6K - was sure it would easily rise to $15K or more. I agree about the black bottom paint - probably hiding nothing and just done to clean it up for display, but it sets off alarm bells with...

Not mine - a lot nicer and a true redhead, not a resale red version. Or, as Bond would say, the cuffs match the collar. 1966 Chrysler Imperial | eBay A very clean and well-detailed, low mileage (for the year) example.

For Sale 1967chry. Imperial. rustfree. 440. clean. car. - $6500

Exactly. Convertibles are probably the more desirable, 2 door sedans/coupes less so, and 4 doors least of all. No different than C Bodies, B Bodies or others. OTOH, Imperials are certainly an acquired taste. Definitely no Charger or Fury GT, and this one has been for sale for quite some time...

    For Sale FIRST TIME OFFERED !! 65 300 A/C 4 speed

A lot. Everything about those trucks was overbuilt. I looked at one years ago around the same year, beautiful truck that had unfortunately been left in a field after someone poked a rod through the side of the block. It was the exact truck that a buddy's dad had ridden back in the day. But...

I like the LaFrance V-12 Roadster in the background. Guessing 40s-maybe early 60s?

So just a quick update - thanks to Gary/Wollfen, we now have a viable backup plan in place. Will keep the car on the market for a few more weeks anyhow, for the sake of simplicity. Easier to sell it and replace it later. If not, at least there's now a good plan B. After looking at what's...

Thanks stubs. Yes, as we discussed early on, a new sender & tank cleaning used to be near the top of the list before the carb and electrical gremlins came to visit. All part of making it as bullet-proof as possible for road use. The filter was merely a reminder. I know I didn't put a price on...

Thanks guys, but nothing to be sorry for. I'm doing this under 'good' conditions in that it's not a financial hardship or such, just trying to do what's best for everyone involved. I'm not leaving the board and if the car does sell, I'll be back here as soon as time & finances allow, with a...

A family move to another state has forced my hand on the '66 300 project aka the Road Shark. Info on the successes and adventures here: The Road Shark - 1966 Chrysler 300 Project The car is a light metallic blue with dark blue interior, 383 4 bbl w/Edlebrock replacement carb. Bucket seats...

For Sale Commado1's 67 Newport Fast top

I'd block the SOB from ever bidding on my auctions again. You can also get their information (name, address, etc) from ebay to see if it's someone you've had problems with before. I think you're in a pretty good place right now with 3 days to go, Stan. The reason the low bid/reserve approach...

For Sale Commado1's 67 Newport Fast top

Well....I have to plead ignorance here and 'fess up - never sold or bought a car on there. Only my old Farmall and I was the only bidder. Based my comments entirely on other, lesser items as far as price and such. So I have no idea where you have to start a vehicle to make them happy. I do...

For Sale Commado1's 67 Newport Fast top

If it doesn't move Stan, try relisting it for a lower starting bid like $999 with a reserve. The other thing you can try is listing it without a reserve and cancelling the auction if it doesn't go high enough, but when people are interested, much of the bidding takes place in the last 10-30...

For Sale I “may” be going to look at the '69 300 at Greensboro auction (more advice?)

That sounds eerily like my canned response about the Road Shark...."maybe it will be on the road by then...". At least I got the title back recently. Started in Sept/Oct. Made the mistake of trying to add my wife to it when her name wasn't on the original bill of sale. What a paperwork nightmare!!

For Sale I “may” be going to look at the '69 300 at Greensboro auction (more advice?)

Looks like you and Gary had a good time, Dale. Sorry I couldn't go along. Spent the morning at my daughter's preschool for International Day, something that still baffles me for 2-4 yr old kids. I'll echo what Stan and others have said - don't beat yourself up over not grabbing it. If you had...

For Sale '69 300 for auction at Greensboro

Hey Dale - Probably not as my daughter has a school event Saturday which her grandfather is coming from Florida to attend. Plus I need to change the plugs in my Ranger, it's skipping like a gay leprechaun in the Chicago St Paddy's Day parade. My wife was in Greenville yesterday interviewing...

For Sale '69 300 for auction at Greensboro

The stance doesn't bother me, I've seen plenty of cars with springs replaced that sat higher until they settled a bit. The air cleaner is a bit much. Cool, but looks like it belongs on a bulldozer. Greensboro is only an hour or so west of me. Wish my 300 had been that close.
