How does a gas tank get restored?

Yeah, but it's a numbers matching gas tank! LOL! I took my 67 300 tank to a local rad shop, had it boiled and the inside sealed up with some pink plastic stuff that looked like Pepto Bismal, but smelled way worse. They also welded up a small hole in the corner where dumb *** tow truck driver...

Pullys info wanted, deleting my ac, 1968 New Yorker

I did the same. One of the things I remembered about switching from the triple to the double pulley was that I went through quite a hassle finding the right one so the geometry worked. One of the issues was that my friend who has built 40 years of mopars said to me, go look in that milk crate in...

Pullys info wanted, deleting my ac, 1968 New Yorker

Probably because Wisconsin is a long way from tropical? Here in the wilds of BC, probably similar weather to Chilton, we would maybe get 10 days a year where a guy would want to have AC. We just put the top down and drive faster! To me, too many additional parts, belts, hoses and **** that could...

    Dimmer switch for '69

Big John: The reason that $250 switch is so expensive, is because it is a "dipper switch". Now those dimmer switches can be had around fairly easily for less than $75, but the "dipper" is another animal altogether and a rare beast indeed!

FM Radio rear speaker volume/reverb knob location

Not sure if 66 and 67 are similar but the reverb unit (the box) goes under the rear seat and is screwed onto a bracket there. In my 67 300 I have the AM/FM radio and the reverb unit is turned on with a toggle that is just to the right of the power antenna switch. See photo, the toggles left to...

Power window track roller assembly needed! or parts help needed?

Update: As mentioned above the two roller brackets look very similar, and the small steel rollers that fit into the tracks are the same size, but the big plastic rollers themselves are a different size that what comes on a 67. Very disappointing. So I still need one of the larger plastic rollers...

Power window track roller assembly needed! or parts help needed?

More on these rollers and the F%#! rear 1/4 glass window in my 67 300. As explained above, the window bracket and roller a fellow member sent me, he believed from a 68 Chrysler, has a slightly different body, the roller itself is 1/16 of an inch smaller in diameter, and interior running surface...

Power window track roller assembly needed! or parts help needed?

A little update here on these. I have not received my new rollers yet so not sure if I can re and re this original bracket to go back onto my 300, but, I found one through a contact here on FCBO and they arrived early this week. These are out of a B body, and the bracket is slightly different...

Power window track roller assembly needed! or parts help needed?

Ok, so I cut the broken half of the roller off because I wanted to see if the steel shaft was consistent all the way down into the mounting bracket which it is. So now to find the plastic roller. A little digging and I found out that the window rollers off of 67 to 70 Chargers and Cudas were...

Power window track roller assembly needed! or parts help needed?

All: working some bugs out of my rear quarter power window assembly while winter is upon us. 67 Chrysler 300 rag top. Glass was sagging inwards and upon removal I found that the plastic roller on one side of the track slot was broken. I am hesitant to ask if this is a replaceable part, or does...

Rear Quarter glass out of whack! Help!

Ok, well I think I have the solution. Figured out how to make the window adjustments, so I loosened all the adjusting bolts (4) slid the window into the optimum position, clamped the window to the front door window in the proper alignment and then made the back and forth and up and down...

Rear Quarter glass out of whack! Help!

All: Just spent the morning taking off all of my door panels, removing the power window switches and testing all the individual power window motors in my 67 300 rag top. Thankfully, all of the motors work nicely and it is obvious someone was in there before me, as both doors had access holes...

Chromed plastic rear Seat Trim restoration

Hey all. Wondering if any of our great members here know someone who restores the seat back trim (chromed) as noted in the photo ? This is a photo of some that have been restored already, (wish mine looked like these!) I think the guy that owned my 300 toured around with his golf buddies and...

    Power Window Motor Repair

John: Thanks for this tutorial, gonna have a go at one of my reluctant PW motors. I always make sure I read your posts, wish I had a tenth of that knowledge. Quick question (or two), I see that the Motor you refurbished has the springs instead of the pucks. I can see how the pucks would smooth...

1967 Chrysler 300 drop top, Grill extension repairs,

All: Brand new to this forum. My 300 has one grill extension that has the two smaller mounting holes broken off. (see photo). Is this repairable, or should a guy be looking for a replacement? I have only seen a couple of decent replacements in last couple of years and $100 + in US $, which works...
