This is passenger side mirror. Need to disassemble for chromers. How do I get these 2 pieces separated? I can't unscrew that ball. Is it pressed in during assembly? Thanks.

This was the worse piece. Chrome guys advised against it. Part was too far gone they thought. But did say it would look better, but couldn't guarantee I would be happy. Picked part up today....I was happy! Chromers were impressed too! lol Not like we can just go on ebay and order up this trim...

This is from my '69 300 vert. It's a clip that slides into the trim piece then attaches to body. Used to secure the piece that the convertible boot attaches to. Any ideas where I can find this type? Needs to be like this. The screws come in from the underside into this clip. Has to be like this...
