Hi guys. I have a 51 Ford F1 pickup with a 67 New Yorker front clip, A J code 440 in it, and a 68 RR 8 3/4 rear end. How do we say hotrod? I have some info for you guys on throttle cables that you will like. Cheers 100_0205.jpg100_0203.jpg100_0190.jpg100_0191.jpg

Nice. i like it.

I think however, right next to the Mooneyes sticker on the passenger fender you should put a Gold PentaStar just like the big-block Chrysler cars had. Might cornfuse the heck out of the ferd guys.

A fellow named Dale Armstrong from Edmonton, Alberta was the mentor for Patricks build before I bought it in Alix, Alberta. Pat is a son of one of my now deceased old submariner friends. Dale said it would mate, but then had to box the frame. I have some pics of it, but can't put them up. I bought the truck with no wiring, no interior, no glass, no box. But Patrick had done all the heavy stuff. A welder artist!!!! 9 years later, this is where I'm at. I drive it back and forth to Canada.

Hi Scott. 3:23 in the rear with an Auburn posi. Gear Vendors overdrive cuts it back to a 2:52. 70 MPH is about 2 grand, so 18-20 MPG IF I keep my foot out of it. 0-60=3.6 secs. 1/4=12.8 @ 116, and the top end is a mathematical number around 200. Cheers

And back and forth to B.F. Canada, you are my new hero.

Oh yeah forgot to say when was the last time you seen an old Ford pickup with a Chrysler steering column and pedal assly. and torsion bars??? BTW, I'm mopar thru and thru. Cheers.

I kinda like the middle of nowhere. 8 miles up the road is a 68 SS/AA cuda (original), a 64 Ramchargers Dodge, and oh yeah, my brother almost has his 65 Coronet A/FX car together(altercation front end) with a 540 World Products hemi, 10/71 Procharger, fuel and water injected . 1300 HP. So yeah, I guess I like it there. And one of the old Submarines that I used to play with is about 1/2 mile down the road and high and dry. Cheers. PS, dragstrip is only 16 miles away. Life is good.

Thanks man. I've been at the old truck for 10 years. The reason I'm on this site is I like Mopars!!!! I've had everything from a 225 to a Hemi. I figured everyone was having a problem with throttle cables (and other stuff) and thought I could help. I'm 65 years old, Know Don Garlits(he got 5 of my early Hemis), have talked to John Nelson Racing. The drill is if I can help someone find stuff, makes me happy. Cheers, Rusty.
