I don't know if this one got posted before, not mine!

This classic car is beautifully restored and a real head turner! Runs and it's beautiful to behold. This car is very rare, it's 50 yr old and a survivor of only 922 made. The color is persian white, (New Paint) w/new red carpet & dash. Motor: 413 V8, 4bbl, Pushbutton 727 Transmission, AC, Only 88,941 mi and no rust. While most of the restoration is done, it still needs a little more work. The top needs to be repaired, (The price generously reflects this.) It's a clean title car & I have photo documentation of the tons work that's been poured into it.

I think this one was on here a year ago, perhaps? Pretty nice car. Priced reasonably, too. Looks like the heater core needs replacement. Power windows are an issue, it appears. The seats are done up incorrectly, assuming the car is leather from new.

I really like the white on these Imps.

Nice. It needs a new interior because of amateur work done. Also a lot of time and effort to fix the windows. New paint doesn't make it worth asking price IMHO.

This simplified seat restoration Looks so wrong. Real turnoff.

I call these things "Dairy Queen" cars.
Bought by people who can't turn a screwdriver, brought to local shops to be repaired by employees who tune up Hondas and Malibu's and if it ain't available at AutoZone, it won't get fixed, and to whom a full restoration means a $750 paint job over Bondo and a rebuilt carb.

Why in the one pic of the engine compartment is the battery disconnected? And why would the heater core need replacing Patrick...did I miss something? Also what is with the funky clips on the spark plug wires?

The heater core is on the upper passenger side of the cowl. There are no heater hoses leading to it, and you can see the heater hose looped from the water pump and back...short, but it is there. It's also missing the fiber inserts that clip the plug wires to the holes in the valve cover plug wire brackets.

For what is there, the car is priced right. You're looking at a grand to $1,500 or so for the top fabric replacement, plus another $400 or so to repaint that top mechanism in the correct black. Add another $200 - $500 for the heater fix, depending if you have everything farmed out or not. The window power switch banks on these are the last of the rebuildable units. The power window issue is more an accessibility to the motors (especially the rears!), assuming the motors need rebuilding or replacing. And those seats! Good Lord, why did they half-*** these? To redo that interior properly in leather and the right pattern can be five to ten grand, depending on who does the work!

So, you are at $8K for the car, $2K or more to transport it (and that top!) in an enclosed rig, so there is $10K to acquire the Imperial. Add $2K for the top and top frame paint (thinking cheap here). Let's say $8K for the interior. And maybe a grand to get the windows operational. You are now at approximately $21K - $25K in a car that would be worth that money, easily, assuming all else is in order.
