Anyone know if a 16x8 rim and a 235/60/16 tire will fit a 1965 Chrysler New Yorker with fender skirts?

Very dependent on the offset.
235mm is how wide the tire is, that will fit. An 8” rim is a bit wide for that tire, how about a 7” rim
