1965 New Yorker Horn Issue

Looking for suggestions for a horn issue with my 65 NY'er. Horn hasn't been working, then I bumped it one day while working in the car with the ignition turned off and the horn worked fine.

Next day the horn didn't work with ignition turned on or off.

Any suggestions where to look first?

Check the ground connection through the column. There is a wire or spring that goes through the rag joint (rubber biscuit) near the firewall. If it's on its way out, the horn won't work.
Test the horn by running a jumper from the upper part of the column before the biscuit to the lower part. If it sounds, then there's your issue.
