Since when did 66 383's have 906 heads? I wouldn't trust it either.

Cranks are cheaper than engines, easier to ship and can be inspected before machined and/or installed.

Chances are good that it's a 383 to fit everything that had a 383 in it. With the 66 heads having the small valves, this would be a good thing.

If you ordered a 383 for a 69 Plymouth, you'd get the same engine.

383 cranks are easy to get - there's one or two in TX listed on FABO if you can't find one local.
