The paint is by no means "show' quality - more of a driver quality. It actually drives nice, but barely stops at all! Brakes are in need of a serious going-over before the car should drive another foot! Remember, this has the single brake reservoir (final year). I had to do a quick stop at a red light, and damn near went through the intersection - and I was doing just 25 mph!

There are a lot of little, yet expensive things, that this Imperial needs. I shot them a very fair offer, considering there was no way I was going to drive this home and instead, have it hauled on a rollback. They turned down the offer, and I was not willing to go up. It's a decent runner, but it's still more than I'm willing to go on it.

Nice thing is that there is a fourth wheelcover, heater core, and a lot of what appears to be NOS weatherstripping in the trunk!

BTW, add $249 for "dealer documentation" to whatever is paid for the car.

Give it some time...they'll come to there senses and call you! If not Ohhhhhhh well it wasn't meant to be. Their loss! That car has been there a while. Meanwhile keep looking.

As I said, this car I seem to remember to be on sale quite some time ago, there's a reason it hasn't sold yet; but maybe time will get the Price down a bit.

OK, boys and girls, great news! You are now talking to the new owner of a yellow and white 1966 Imperial Crown convertible coupe!!! They did come down a bit AND said "no dealer doc fee!", so I had to say "yes!". This, with my wife's blessing, too! Very cool! What a great day it is.

This is one of just 514 built in 1966. Of the three years of this particular D-body Imperial style, this is the rarest. The 1966 MY produced 514, while the '65 year netted 633, and 1964 saw 922 built. How many '66s are Daffodil Yellow as stock? I'm thinking fewer than twenty; as red, white, black, blue and gray Imperials were pretty popular.

Pics to follow in a new Imperial post. Thanks for the encouragement, folks. I'm pretty excited about the whole deal, and am on the way to pick it up in a few minutes.

CONGRATULATIONS !!!! Somehow I knew they would come around and you'd get it!! I can't wait to see the pics! Awesome car and great rare color! Enjoy!!!!

Congradulations Patrick ...... Looks like a great car. I know you'll keep us abreast of how she's coming along. I bet it would be a nice ride to Carlisle....... (hint-hint).
