Hi there

I am new to this forum, and frankly new to owning a car that is older than I am. I have been an import guy most of my life but recently joined the mopar family when I purchased my Canadian made 66 Windsor.

Currently doing a bunch of work to it as it had sat for a long time before I started it up and drove it home.

Doing the brakes...All round drums is kinda scary to say the least, so found an adapter plate online to convert the front to disc brakes using calipers from a dodge pickup. rebuilding the rear drums and using a booster from a similar year c-body with factory front discs.

The engine was a 2 barrel 383 but she was really tired and has zero compression on two pistons. taking off the valley pan revealed a clear lack of oil changes in many years. So found a minty 400 out of a 76 2wd pickup to swap in. Also gives me an easy way to loose the points system. also added an edelbrock intake with holley 750 double pumper.

Things I am having zero luck with:
-I cannot find sun visors including hardware (blue interior, but will settle for any colour at this point)

-C H Y R S L E R letters that go across trunk lid are all missing

-aftermarket headers, what will fit and retain power steering?...really want some at a reasonable price....

Very cool and welcome brother. Also nice job on finding the correct forum right off that bat .. a mark of a man who know's his slabs

Welcome to the site from the Motor City! Great looking car you have there.
try looking through our very own for sale forum and if you have no luck try Murry B. Park, here is a link to his site.

Welcome to the c body asylum, where in the inmates are in charge. Nice car indeed. Drum brakes don't have to be scary if/when working properly. Mine (on all 4 wheels) have hauled my *** down quite quickly a number of times due to the witless amateurs on the roads these days.
