It looks like a photo from Moparfest, beside the ball diamond. If it was there at the last Moparfest, I didn't see it. What's going on with the head lights?

I recently discovered that the headlight trim rings on a '68 are made of plastic.

I take it that the current owner is not FCBO?

originally green with white interior
too bad its missing all the side trim & cladding

Just over $11k USD.

If this looks as good in person, this is a steal!! I kinda like the two tone interior.

No codes on the first 2 lines? That would explain no trim, wouldn't it?

It is a Monaco convertible NOT a Monaco 500.
The 500 got bucket seats standard equipment.
Which explains the bench seat with armrest, and no wide body side molding which was exclusivecto the 500.
Believe it or not Canada had both convertibles.
Will dig up info tomorrow from my 68 archives.
Btw, I have pics of a Cdn 1969 Monaco vert that is NOT a 500.

its missing wheel opening moldings and side trim, prob not put back on after being painted. there was side molding on the Monaco, just not as full as on the 500.

here is a non 500 monaco showing the narrower trim, and a monaco 500 with the fuller trim

no not necessarily, canadian built cars were not known for having much info on the body tag.

From my archives. 1968 Canadian fast facts.
Monaco and Monaco 500 convertible.
In Canada, you could get a Monaco convertible with a Slant Six!

68 Windsor plant just didn't code much info.

They punched a few more codes in '67.

What, nobody in '68 got a radio?

@cbarge, I'm surprised to see the curb weight at 3765 lbs. My 300m's weigh that much. I thought the C-bodies came in heavier than that.

Thats base shipping curb weight. More options equals more weight like air conditioning as an example.
67 was a transitional year and things were getting more streamlined starting in 68.
67 saw different VIN for Canadian and US cars. 68 VIN was same on both sides of the border.
More info on the broadcast sheet versus the fender tag as an example.

Where's the Monaco side trim? Wonder if the seller realizes he has a YOM plate for a station wagon. Pass car plates don't have an "X" at the end of them.

The headlight trim rings are made of very delicate plastic. I bought a whole grill assembly just to have spares. Based on the pics, the interior work and paint is non-original but it appears to be done professionally. I'm wondering about the low asking price.
