1968 Chrysler New Yorker | eBay

Not everyone's cup of tea I'm sure, first time I've seen one chopped like this.

$30k price and didn't sell.
Might be that the work done in 1990 hasn't aged well, regardless if it's still in good condition.
I think it's safe to say nobody wants cars done in this style anymore (the colors/style).
There are more pics but these 3 are enough to tell the story.

"Amazing one-of-a-kind custom 1968 Chrysler New Yorker 400 that is chopped and dropped with adjustable coil overs\. Car is in great condition no rust. Paint is like new. Recent tune up, rebuilt front suspension, new brakes. Top is chopped 4.25" on front 3" rear. Original 440 motor which Rruns and drives great. 118K miles. 3.90:1 posi gearing and a medium pressure shift kit. Featured in January 1990 Mopar magazine. Inspiring story behind the build. "

Honestly, I think that "look" was out of date back in 1990. Pastel colors and velour interiors were late 70's/early 80's.

This is the problem when you build a car to today's fad... Or in a lot of cases, actually yesterday's fad that is well on its way out. In this case, you can't even pull off a "nostalgia" look like if it was a classic 50's custom... It's about on par with a 70/80's mirrored disco ball.

Yeah, I was thinking of stuff like Rick Dobbertin's Pontiac J2000 and those 'Heartbeat'-striped S10s running around on 8" Corvette Rallye wheels being cool.
Did some googling, and the J2000 was an '85.

And I accept, in the words of Baz Luhrmann... 'you too will get old'...
