1968 NewYorker option SB Accent Stripe Black

I am quite sure that mine is the one laid on at the assembly line. On top is two thin black stripes very close to each other then a single a little lower.
Can somebody tell for sure this is correct? How on earth was this made? Especially the rear end looks very home made on almost all cars I have seen with these.

You might find the stripes illustrated in the Color and Trim Guide for that model year of Chrysler in the "Library" section at www.hamtramck-historical.com (might have to manually input that address).

At that point in time, I believe that all factory stripes were painted, not tape. Tape came later.

I am not sure how these are done. It looks like a tape stripe when you enlarge the picture to max.
But then the edges of a tape are not there when I try with my old fingers...like it would be a tape
which have melted on. When I check door edges there is nothing of the normal tape ends.
The three black pins are 1mm wide and the whole width of what I believe is the tape is 12mm.
The distance between upper end and lower end of the three 1mm black pins is 9mm.
The car has one stage enamel..no clear coat and the stripe is certainly very very old since it is
worn off on some places. The car is believed to have the original factory paint on.
How are measures on your stripes compared to this?

I have had to two 68 New Yorkers and both had these stripes.
