Other than the shifters they were famous for, and Linda Vaughn, Hurst also developed the "Jaws of Life" tool. An adaption of the "Porta-Power" body shop sheet metal tool to pull bodies/frames back into shape during collision repairs, I believe. Rather, it was used to cut body sections apart to remove otherwise trapped occupants from the wreckage. Saved many lives! Not surprising that they might have done an ambulance conversion to go along with it.
