Classic "little old lady" owned...

"This car has 71,000 original miles. It is a modified Polara, not a $100,000 + Coronet. So if you want a very nice fun and affordable convertible this might be for you. It was originally purchased by a woman who was a school teacher who traded her cars in every two years. The dealership, Jarrett Dodge in Hatboro, kept it, and the owner kept it in in collection, driving to car shows and the like. Dealer can verify original mileage. I've modified and everything works, I'm meticulous. Garage kept since new, Factory air, new air shocks, 1969 dodge mags, new raised white letter tires, 383 engine, bucket seats and console, new carpets, new duel exhaust, original radio concerted to am fm and a CD player has been added, new radiator and tune up, new battery. No rust, all solid"

Very nice! The stripe would be slightly less offensive if it were the standard R/T stripe and not a Super Bee stripe but it'd be best if it weren't there at all.

Just had a thought.... This car may have been to Carlisle 5 or so years ago. He wanted 20,000 then...
Gotta be the same car

Nice car don't get the super B either, surprising I don't think it would look bad with just a stripe. It would come off with a hair dryer and the 3M stuff.

If I had a car like that I would put a scat pack decal in the quarter window, but that's it. It's been a long time since I was part of the scat pack, I wish Chrysler had something like that or the "rapid transit system".

69 Polaras remind me a lot of B-bodys the way they are styled I guess

Super Bee floor mats too.

And the stripe kit he used isn't even a '69 style.

No... I don't believe it is.

Thanks Jason. Ya know IF I was ever going to modify that particular car (I saw he said he did) I would at least have done something the factory might have done like put 500 badges there. Like BB did with his prior year Sport Fury emblems maybe.

Speaking of that .. did they put some badge on the interior of the 500's in that year .. anyone? Dave?

I agree. If I do something I try to keep it period correct. I saw a 65 coronet for sale awhile back. The guy recovered his armrest pads with denim, and used plywood for the base. I shook my head....

Speaking of Rapid Transit does anyone know how many 440 six pack Fury's were made in 70. It was a shame I'am not 100% sure but I think all came in Automatics. Those Fury's are worth huge money.

guess he has no clue, the B in Super Bee stands for B-body. Only have seen a few with the hockey puck decal on the side and only in pictures. Correct me if I'm wrong..think that's what they were called.

I've never heard that before

The stripe on the car above is called bumble bee stripe. The hockey stick stripe was on 70 Cuda's

I haven't heard of that stripe being refered to as hockey puck either nor have I heard that the Bee in Suoer Bee stood for B-body. I thought it was purely a character or mascot to compete against the Plymouth camp and their Road Runner.

It makes sense, even if it is only a coincidence. Maybe we could have a "Super Cee"?
